2021-2022 education booklet
The musée du quai Branly - Jacques Chirac welcomes teaching connected with its collections or corresponding to the scientific themes defined by the Department of Research and Education: western and non-western arts, material and intangible heritage, museum institutions and their collections and relationships between technology and material culture. The musée du quai Branly - Jacques Chirac is not authorised to award national diplomas and is not a substitute to universities or specialised schools.
Intended for masters' and doctoral students and exceptionally for those in their final degree year, this teaching is provided in the context of an agreement signed between the musée du quai Branly - Jacques Chirac and the partner establishment. The teaching provided at the Museum with its partner establishments takes the form of specialised seminars, study days or conferences in the fields of anthropology, ethnomusicology, art history, history, archaeology, sociology, oral literature and heritage law.
The policy of the musée du quai Branly - Jacques Chirac is to welcome teaching provided by partner establishments and to promote cross-disciplinary exchanges between establishments and disciplines by pooling teaching. The Museum also offers educational sessions regarding its collections, which are presented by the curators. These sessions are normally open to the general public, subject to the approval of the lecturer.
